Bout of Books Read-a-thon Challenges for Wednesday

You're going to be seeing lots of posts for this read-a-thon. This is my fifth post for today and I just think that is crazy - sorry about there being so many! I do have to say that there are a huge amount of participants for this! I'm participant number 350 out of 515.

There are two challenges today.
The first one is the TBR Pile Mini Challenge,

~ The Rules ~

1. This challenge is in two parts, and you must complete BOTH parts in order to qualify for the giveaway. You must be a Bout of Books participant in order to enter (I will check!).

2. All you have to do is leave a comment below! You can answer in the comment itself, or link to the blog post/Tweet/video where I can find your entry.

3. The prize will be your choice of book(s) up to the value of £15 from The Book Depository (or Amazon if you're in the UK - I still have Prime so I might as well use it!).

4. If you answer in your comment, please include your Bout of Books sign-up number from the master linky here - use the 'find' function (CTRL-F) if you're struggling - to help me verify that you're a participant.

5. Please also include some way of contacting you should you win - a Twitter handle or email address, for example. The challenge will be open for 24 hours, and I'll choose a winner and get in touch after that. If you don't respond within 48 hours I'll pick a new winner, so keep an eye out!

~ The Questions ~

1. Which 5 books are at the top of your TBR pile at this moment?

2. If I gave you a wad of cash and sent you into a bookshop right now, which 5 books would you buy to add to the stack?

My Answers

I have to pick just five? :) I did limit myself to what are physically on my shelves that I haven't read yet. I didn't even look at my Kindle. Here are the top five books on my TBR pile:

I love book stores! All those books! There are so many to choose from that I'd love to add to my shelves. Here is what I narrowed it down to (I know that two of these are series so probably cheating a little, but I'd buy a book from each series at least or two from one of them):

The second challenge is The Book Spine Poetry Challenge,
hosted by Such a Novel Idea.

The rules are simple:
1. Find some books, and create a poem out of their spine.
2. Take a picture of the spine poem.
3. Upload it on the link.

Here is my picture and poem:

Counting stars by the light of the silvery moon.
An unlikely match, waiting.
The kiss of a stranger along the shore.
Captive heart, there you'll find me.

If you're participating in this read-a-thon, did you do either of these challenges? I think that the poem one can be fun, but I've decided it takes too much time to do those ones. Next time, I'm going to reuse one I already did. Is that cheating? What do you think of my answers? :)
