Stacking the Shelves #44

Welcome to Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews.

When I went to grab some books for my son this week at the library I decided to check out the ones they had for sale. There were four I ended up grabbing from the YA section. I just couldn't pass up $.50 per book, especially when they're all in good shape, used, but still good. The top four were all from there. Then I received two books in the mail this week, one I purchased and one for review. The bottom book, Love Gone Wild, I'm super excited about reading. It's from a newer and new-to-me Christian Romance author. I'll be reviewing it in a few weeks and there will be a giveaway for an ebook copy. *cheers* Then there's Fractured Truth, which I am thrilled about reading for its tour. I'm planning on reading and reviewing all three of the books in the series.

Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta
Spring Breakdown (Carter House Girls #7) by Melody Carlson
Jessica Rules the Dark Side (Jessica #2) by Beth Fantaskey
Jenna & Jonah's Fauxmance by Emily Franklin & Brendan Halpin
Fractured Truth (Fractured Light #3) by Rachel McClellan
Love Gone Wild (Reality Show #2) by Amy Matayo

I got some ebooks this week as well. The first two rows were all free except for The Art of Goodbye and Gilded Ashes (so, so excited for both of these novellas!!!). Then the next two lines are from NetGalley and the last line is for review. Here they all are:

The Art of Goodbye Sun & Moon (The Minstrel Series #1) Making Waves (Lake Manawa Summers #1)
Made to Last (Where Love Begins #1) The Frog Prince (Faerie Tale Collection, #8) Gilded Ashes (Cruel Beauty Universe)
The Lovely and the Lost (The Dispossessed, #2) Fool Me Twice Arms of Anu (Arrow of the Mist, #2)
Midnight Thief (Midnight Thief, #1) The Hangman's Revolution (W.A.R.P. #2) Take Back the Skies
Lost and Found (The Ripple Effect Romance Novella Series, #4) Second Chances 101 (The Ripple Effect Romance Novella Series, #5) Immersed (The Ripple Effect Romance Novella Series, #6)

Did you get anything this week?

  4. So many pretty books! Gilded Ashes is a must-have. And Midnight Thief looks like a fun, kind of spooky book. :) I'm in a weird mood right now and I want to read something that's going to keep me on the edge of my seat.

Making Waves is a cute book. I read it a while ago and liked it. I also can't wait to read Made to Last. It looks like such a cute book! Have you read any of the Ripple Effect books yet? I haven't read any, but I love all the authors that are writing them, so it's only a matter of time before I do.

I LOVED Jellicoe Road!!! It has such a strong sense of setting and vibrant characters. The intertwined way the stories of different characters are told keep you on your toes and wonder how they are all connected; of course it ties things up by the end. I read it on a road trip and had to re-read it a few times right after :)
