Weekly Update #86

Welcome to my Weekly Update where I post my blog's schedule for the week. I'm linking up to The Sunday Post, hosted by Kimba @ The Caffeinated Book Reviewer, and Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews, this week.

November is almost here! Besides ushering in my favorite time of the year, Dena from Batch of Books and I are going to be hosting a read-along for the last two books of the Finishing School Series by Gail Carriger. We both need to read these and decided to read them together. We're inviting anyone else who is interested to join us. We'll have a schedule of how much to read and when to get through both of these in a month. We're planning on having a great time! We'll  have more posted soon...

I'm not as booked this week as I usually am, which is fine by me, so you'll be seeing some overdue reviews coming up and then some tour stops, as usual. Here's what you can expect this week:

I'll be posting some reviews. Look for my thoughts on these:
Dreams of Gods & Monsters (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #3) Into the Still Blue (Under the Never Sky, #3) Isla and the Happily Ever After (Anna and the French Kiss, #3)

I'll be participating in the tour for More Mormon Origami by Todd Huisken. My kids have really been into origami and I thought this would have some fun ideas to use with children.
More Mormon Origami - Paperback

I'll be posting for Waiting on Wednesday. Did you see last week's WOW for Suspicion? I'll also be a tour stop for A Lady at Willowgrove Hall by Sarah E. Ladd. I've loved this series so far so I'm really looking forward to this one!
A Lady at Willowgrove Hall (Whispers on the Moors, #3)

I'm planning on posting reviews of these:
Mortal Heart (His Fair Assassin, #3) Arcana

Friday Favorites will be up with my favorite book covers from August and September.

I will be a tour stop for Loving Luciana by Joyce DePastena. Her debut book, Loyalty's Web, is a favorite of mine, so I'm looking forward to this one.
Loving Lucianna

I did get some books this week that I'm very excited about. Here's my physical stack:
Yep. The entire The Heir Chronicles by Cinda Williams Chima, which I'm thrilled about and I got a great deal on the slightly used first three in the series. Then I got DIY Wood Pallet Projects, by Karah Bunde, which is just amazing and fun! I'm hoping to be able to do some of those projects soon.

I grabbed one ebook on sale for $.99 (supposed to be sweet romance and I've heard good things about it):
Sweet Confections (Indulgence Row #1)

And these review books from Edelweiss, Kathy over at I Am A Reader, NetGalley, and Anaiah Press:
Paper Hearts Proper Attire: A West Indies Proper Romance Adrenaline Rush
Spell Check Anomaly (Schrodinger's Consortium, #1) Deceived
Breaking Sky Love Overcomes Tess in Boots

This is the last week for most of these. There is my Monthly Giveaway for October for a copy of Illusions of Fate by Kiersten White (US only), which I really loved, along with these other giveaways (click on the image to take you to the giveaway):
 Something Wicked Strikes

Saints & Soldiers: The Void Spooktacular2013 H2O

We're on the second to last day of the Wonderfully Wicked Read-a-Thon. Click on the button below to see my most recent update. I'll be posting a wrap-up on Tuesday.
Wonderfully Wicked Read-a-Thon

Did you miss any of these posts from last week?

I'm still working on getting these read (along with some others):
Wicked Path (Daath Chronicles, #2) Sublime The Dream Thieves (The Raven Cycle, #2) Blue Lily, Lily Blue (The Raven Cycle, #3)

So many books to read... Good thing I love reading!! ;)

What do you have going on this week?

I loved this book too and I couldn't put it down but the ending was well not what I expected but I'm glad that there will be a second book. I didn't even know thanks for the great review.

  28. Thanks, Kathy. I did go a little crazy with it, but it's fun and it helps me map out my week in my head too instead of just looking at my calendar. I appreciate you stopping by!
