Happy New Year with Goals & Most Anticipated Books

Just want to wish you all a very happy New Year! I hope it's a great day and the start of a great year!

I do have some bookish goals that I'm focusing on for this year. I'm linking up to Top Ten Tuesday from Tuesday for this as well over at The Broke and the Bookish.

Goals
  1. Request less from NetGalley and Edelweiss
  2. Read the eARCs I do request in a timely manner.
  3. Sign up for less tour stops (I've already started doing this).
  4. Read the books that were high on my list from last year that I missed.
  5. Keep up with the books highest on my list for this year.
  6. Get more tours scheduled ahead of time for Prism.
  7. Do better in cross-posting my reviews and updating my "Reviews" page.
  8. Meet my Goodreads goal of 225 books.
  9. DNF more books instead of forcing myself through them.
  10. Get through all of my review copies directly from authors.

Hopefully I'll be able to meet all of these. :)

  5. Oh my goodness, I know exactly what you mean when you say you don't want to request so many books from Netgalley or Edelweiss that you can't keep up with and I'm only resolving to request the galley's that are definitely high on my list so that I don't fall too behind. I also definitely want to comment more on other's blogs that I follow and make some new blogger friends as well. I hope that you're able to really meet most, if not all of your goals and that you have a wonderful new year! :)

  7. Ooh, Mechanica, Illusionarium and Crimson Bound are all books I'm looking forward to. I'll probably also read Fairest and possibly Shadow Scale (of course, for that one I need to read Seraphina first). You've also got some really awesome looking Christian books on this list too - certainly ones to look into for myself or to buy as gifts for my mom.

Good luck with your goals and I hope you like all these books.

I like the idea of some of those resolutions! I definitely need to start requesting a lot of books. And also the idea of joining less book tours. This is another thing I have started to do myself as well. As for the to reads, you have some great picks here. Illusionarium is one I am looking forward to as well.

Imagine a place with the retail density of New York City—minus the cars—where everything cheap running shoes australia sale is permanently on sale, and you have Woodbury Common. It's easy to walk in, thinking everything is under control, and emerge five hours later with only asics trainers australia sale a cashmere potholder and a freakum dress missing half its sequins to show for it. We suggest scanning a list of the shopping center's outlets and noting the ones you want to target. Athletic Footwear Australia Sale Looking at an actual map of Woodbury helps, too.

  13. Some books are an easy DNF for me, but others that might be a 3-star and a "meh" are harder for me to put down because I believe in constructive criticism. There are too many good books, though, for me to even read 3-star books. Thanks, Kristin!

  14. There really are so many choices out there for books. Every year I see how you really can be influenced by others in selecting something to read with all the options. I also have read just too many books that weren't good to me and I need to cut down on those by DNFing more of them.
