My Review

CHRISTMAS GOLD was a sweet and short historical romance about a mail-order bride and her to-be husband. I had to laugh at the way the characters skirted around each other and their feelings in parts because they were afraid of broaching some things with the other or waiting for the other to lead. I liked both characters. Alex was charming and sweet with how he tried to care for Phoebe. Phoebe wasn't quite sure what to do with Alex, but I loved how occasionally some of her sass would come out. There was a slight feeling of danger as someone from Phoebe's past threatens her new life that added some extra tension to the story. Overall, it was a cute romantic novella.
