My Review

THE RISE OF MISS NOTLEY was a sweet and fun read. With an interesting plot and likable characters, it's sure to charm readers, especially those who enjoy light romance.

I adored these characters! They have their faults and weaknesses, which make them fun to follow in this story. There was some great chemistry, some awkward tension, some meddling characters, and some humorous moments as well.

I loved the first book in this series, The Fall of Lord Drayson, so I had rather high expectations going into this second book. While it is definitely a fun read with a delightful romance, it was also missing a little more plausibility in the plot. I think if I would have been okay with the situation and how things played out in certain parts, then I would have loved this more. It just always kind of nagged at me.

In the end, was it what I wished for? I did have some plot issues with this one, but overall, this was an enjoyable story. I am really looking forward to the third book, The Splash of Lady Harriett, releasing in August.

About the Author

A USA Today bestselling author of clean romance, Rachael Anderson is the mother of four and is pretty good at breaking up fights, or at least sending guilty parties to their rooms. She can't sing, doesn't dance, and despises tragedies. But she recently figured out how yeast works and can now make homemade bread, which she is really good at eating.
