Interview with the Author
1. What is your motivation behind SNOWBOUND WITH AN HEIRESS? Why did you want to write it?
I love reading holiday romances. As such, I love writing them. When I set out to write Serena and Jackson’s story, I wanted to write a heartwarming but fun romance. And then Gizmo popped up on the screen. He’s an ornery pup, who causes all sorts of havoc for this couple. I hope this book tugs at the readers’ hearts and makes them smile.
2. What do you hope readers take with them after they’ve read it?
Not to give up on love or dreams. You never know what life has in store for you.
3. Do you have a favorite scene that you can share with us?
Just then Gizmo came running into the room.
“Gizmo, stop.” Serena had a horrified look on her face.
Jackson couldn’t help but wonder what had put that look on her face until the little dog stopped in front of him with something pink hanging from its mouth.
“Gizmo!” Mae rushed forward.
The dog dropped a pink lacy bra at Jackson’s feet. He glanced up to find Mae’s face the same shade as the delicate bra. Jackson couldn’t help himself. On one leg, he carefully maneuvered himself closer to the floor so he could pick up the piece of lingerie.
He straightened just as Mae reached him. A smile pulled at his lips as he held out the bra. "I believe this is yours."
“Quit smiling.” She snatched the very alluring bra from him. “It isn’t funny.”
“Your dog has an interesting sense of humor.”
“He’s a klepto. That’s all.” And then realizing that she was still holding the bra in front of him, she moved it behind her back.
“You have good taste.” He knew he shouldn’t have said it, but he couldn’t resist a bit of teasing.
The color heightened in her face. “If you’re done critiquing my lingerie, I’ll take my clothes upstairs.”
4. If you could sum the book up in one sentence, what would you say?
It’s a book that I hope will make you smile.
5. Share something about you that is unique - maybe about how/where you write... or favorite snack foods?
My favorite place to write is outside on my deck. With a warm breeze and a tall glass of iced tea in hand, it’s totally relaxing. It’s a recipe for magic as my imagination takes over and I come up with books like SNOWBOUND WITH AN HEIRESS.
