Rachel never wanted to get in the way of Jordan’s dreams, but they were supposed to chase their dreams together. They made promises and swore to remain best friends through it all. After some time, however, you pick the book back up with severe anxiety and a hesitant eye and read the first sentence of the next chapter. And then you read the next sentence and the next.
