Summary
In college, Griffin McCray and his four best friends had their lives planned out. Griffin and Luke Gallagher would join the Baltimore PD. Declan Gray would head to the FBI and Parker Mitchell would go on to graduate school as a crime scene analyst. But then Luke vanished before graduation and their world--and friendships--crumbled.
Now Griffin is a park ranger at Gettysburg, having left life as a SWAT-team sniper when a case went bad. The job is mostly quiet--until the day he captures two relic hunters uncovering skeletal remains near Little Round Top. Griffin just wants the case to go away, but charming forensic anthropologist Finley Scott determines that the body is modern--a young social justice lawyer missing since spring--and all evidence points to the work of an expert sniper. When FBI agent Declan Gray takes over the case, past and present collide. Griffin soon realizes he'll need to confront some of the darkest days of his life if he--and those he cares about--are going to escape a downward spiral of murder that crosses continents.

My Review
COLD SHOT is a story full of twists, friendships, inspiration, suspense, and romance. The characters will win readers over and the story keeps things intriguing. Readers of the genre and fans of the author are sure to enjoy this new series!
I really loved the beginning of this one! Loved it! I loved the instant tension and the back and forth between Griffin and Finley. I also loved that they are both equally intelligent and have their own strengths and weaknesses. They compliment each other really well. I did have some issues here and there with some of the drama and when things didn't quite make sense to me. Otherwise, I really enjoyed these characters and slowly getting to know the other friends of Griffin's.
In the end, was it what I wished for? I enjoyed this story and it is definitely a promising beginning for this new series.
Content: Some violence, but clean.
Source: I received a complimentary eARC from the publisher through NetGalley, which did not require a review nor affect it in any way.

Summary
Blacklisted in the photography business over a controversial shot, Avery Tate answered an ad for a crime scene photographer. She expected to be laughed at, but crime scene analyst Parker Mitchell hired her outright--and changed her life. But six months ago, when her feelings for Parker became too strong, she left his employ to sort out her heart.
Now, for the first time, Avery is facing the world that rejected her to attend the gallery opening of a photography exhibit and support her best friend, who modeled for the show. But the only image of her friend is a chilling photo of her posing as if dead--and the photographer insists he didn't take the shot. Worse, her friend can't be found. She immediately calls Parker for help. As Avery, Parker, and his friends in law enforcement dig into the mystery, they find themselves face-to-face with a relentless and deadly threat.

My Review
STILL LIFE is a rather harrowing suspense that will keep readers on the edge of their seats as the story progresses. The suspense is well balanced with strong friendships, faith, and romance. Recommended to those who enjoy this genre and this author's other books.
I really enjoyed getting to know these new characters and guy friends as this series continues. The violence this time was a little morbid, giving me some good chills in parts, but it also wasn't overly graphic. I definitely was cheering on these characters and hoping they would figure things out before it was too late. The romance was really sweet and I quite adored Avery and Parker. I also could see where the next book might be heading and am looking forward to seeing if I'm right.
I did have a few issues. There were some parts that were overly dramatic. There were also a few things that didn't feel authentic to how characters would or should act as far as the suspense side of things. I also wanted a little more space between flipping from one storyline to another. These issues weren't big enough for me not to still get into and enjoy the story.
In the end, was it what I wished for? I enjoyed getting to know these characters more and finding out what came next for them and am looking forward to more!
Content: Some morbid violence, but still clean.

Summary
FBI agent Declan Grey is in the chase of his life--but isn't sure exactly what he's chasing after. Threatened by a terrorist that "the wrath is coming," Grey fears something horrible is about to be unleashed on American soil. When his investigation leads him to a closed immigrant community, he turns to Tanner Shaw to help him. She's sought justice for refugees and the hurting around the world, and if there's anyone who can help him, it's Tanner.
Tanner Shaw has joined the FBI as a crisis counselor . . . meaning she now has more opportunity to butt heads with Declan. But that tension also includes a spark she can't deny, and she's pretty sure Declan feels the same. But before anything can develop between them, they discover evidence of a terror cell--and soon are in a race against the clock to stop the coming "wrath" that could cost thousands their lives.

My Review
BLIND SPOT is the best from this series so far. There is danger, suspense, romance, friendship, and plenty of twists and turns to keep readers guessing. Another enjoyable release from this author and series!
From the first chapter I knew I was going to enjoy this one! Declan and Tanner were such an interesting pair of characters. They had so much in common and weren't even aware of how much, but also balanced each other out. I loved the action scenes, especially with Tanner where she goes all Jason Bourne and Declan on that bike! *sigh* Then one of the old friends makes some appearances and that brings a whole other level of mystery to the story. I loved seeing the other characters from prior stories and the friends all working together trying to solve cases. The romance was really sweet and also had some amazing chemistry. Then there were these sweet inspirational moments that I also loved.
I did get a little whiplash from the short back and forth between storylines and wish that those would have been separated more. I also wanted a better connection or explanation on a few of the plot pieces (such as the assassin who went after a specific gal out of the blue and I have no idea why). Maybe there just needed to be a little more development in between the moving pieces.
In the end, was it what I wished for? I really enjoyed this one. I can already feel that this next book in the series is going to be intense, but I'm ready to dive in and hold on for the ride!

It was crushing her. She could see that now—the toll it was taking on her. The weight of guilt and emotions she'd shouldered rather than turning them over to her Savior. She'd felt it wasn't fair to give Him her burden—she deserved to carry it. But she also knew He'd already borne it on the cross for her. Why was it so hard to let go of pain sometimes? Especially when she had such a loving Savior waiting to bear the agony for her?

He was gorgeous. She'd always recognized it, but something had shifted today. Seeing him drive that motorcycle, feeling his lips on hers . . . She felt as if she were on the top of a stopped Ferris wheel, her feet dangling in the air high above the ground below, anticipation soaring for what would happen next.
