Favorite West Beach Spots – Emerson’s and Lucas’s Picks & Why
It was so much fun immersing myself in Emerson and Lucas’s lives. But even more fun was getting lost in the sun-drenched world of West Beach. Here’s a list of some of Em and Lucas’s favorite places to spend their lazy summer days:
· The Dunes. This fictional beachside bar is where Emerson and Lucas had their first, second, and most of their dates. If you’re ever there, order the Sex On The Beach, it’s Emerson’s favorite drink!
· Shake Shack. There’s nothing fictional about Shake Shack, and I couldn’t have a book without a really good burger joint. Bonus points for the world’s best frozen custard.
· The West Beach Rec Center. Not only is this the place where Emerson lands herself a cushy day job helping kids in need, but it’s also the place where she figures out what she wants from life. There’s also a very memorable moment that takes place here, for both Emerson and Lucas!
· Food Truck Alley. Unlimited food choices all in one place? Yes, please! If Food Truck Alley were real, it would be my favorite place too!
· The Laundromat. Lucas might not agree with this one, but Emerson does a little light stalking at the local laundry joint, following Lucas as he fluffs and folds his boxer briefs.
· The actual beach. Some of the best scenes in both Undressed and Unbound take place on the warm sandy shores of the Pacific, because who doesn’t love the beach?
