Indie Author Month

I just got an email on Indie Author Month. I didn't realize it was going on and wish I had. I would have loved to participate. I think it's good to support Indie (self-published) authors, especially when they have a book that is well-written and enjoyable. I will be looking through my books to see if I have an Indie book that I can at least review next week. If you would like to take a look at what has been going on, click on the button above or go to: http://alove4lit.blogspot.com/2013/01/indie-author-month-main-page.html. I've included the linky for the giveaways and then the freebies going on below.

    1. Well, at least I wasn't the only one. ;) I'm reading The Brightest Kind of Darkness right now because it had some really good reviews, but I'm not so thrilled with it. I was hoping to find one of the books sponsered that I really liked and could recommend. We'll see.

  2. Great idea! I'm starting to get indie review requests, and in 2013 I am trying to accept a few when I have time. I'm trying to choose very carefully, because when I DNF a traditionally published book, no one is the wiser, but having to email the author and say that is very awkward. Very.

    1. I've had to do that a few times, before I even started the blog, and it wasn't fun. You really want to like a book when you get it from the author, but you have to be honest. The one I'm reading now is fairly well edited, thank goodness, but doesn't feel like it's quite right for me. It's so hard to know!
