My Review
HOW 4 FEET OF PLYWOOD SAVED THE GRAND CANYON is a collection of eight historical stories that are each interesting in their own way. Each is recounted with some additional insight and a look at how each event did or could have an affect on the future. It was enjoyable and engaging and worth sharing or gifting to those who enjoy history and little known events.
I really enjoyed reading through these stories, of which were all new to me. I especially found the The Halifax Explosion to be the most heartbreaking, the story about Abraham Lincoln the most interesting, and the story about the Grand Canyon most personable as I've been to the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon and depend on that dam as well as the Glen Canyon Dam for my water.
In the end, was it what I wished for? Mostly. It was interesting and what amazed me the most was how it showed that single choices and individuals had such a huge impact that even reaches us today.
