Summary

Hilarious heroine Jacklyn Wyatt is back—this time in a dicey Vegas adventure!

Jacklyn “Jack” Wyatt is just your average Mormon girl—other than her brief stint with the FBI, her subsequent brush with death, and her dreamy boyfriend, Special Agent Damon Wade. But in the eight months since she helped save a kidnapping victim, Jack’s life has returned to its mostly stagnant state. She’s still trapped in a dead-end job, and even her relationship seems to be stuck in a rut. These days, adventures are few and far between.

So when Damon heads to Las Vegas on assignment, Jack sees the perfect opportunity to surprise her boyfriend and rekindle the spark in their relationship. But the surprise is on her: she has just landed herself in the middle of a high-stakes operation involving Russian criminals. Unwittingly drawn undercover once more, Jack is all too aware that the survival of Damon and his associates depends on the success of her charade. In the unfamiliar world of luxurious limos, exclusive nightclubs, and gambling, Jack must convince the high-rolling hustlers that she is a terrifying international arms dealer. If only she knew anything about poker. Or guns . . .

My Review

MORMON GIRL: INCOGNITO was another fabulous story full of humor, suspense, and sizzling sweet romance! Readers are sure to love these characters even more than they did after reading the first book, and hang on to their seats during the intensely climatic ending. Enjoyable from beginning to end.

I love these characters! I especially love how down-to-earth and easy to relate to Jack is. I get her insecurities and her issues with her relationship with Damon. I also love how caring, protective, and hard working Damon is. I felt like he opened up a little more in this second book so I got to know him better. These characters really tugged on my heart. I wanted so much for them to open up to each other and to find their happily-ever-after. The chemistry between these two was spot on with a nice slow burn and I appreciated that the author didn't shy away from it, but showed how the characters handled it.

Then there's the crazy plot, because of course with Jack, it has to be crazy. I got how Jack got into the predicament and parts of it were definitely realistic, but then there were others that didn't quite work for me. This was my only hangup for this story, but also wasn't a huge issue, as I loved it all the same. There is also a fairly prevalent inspirational element that I thought was handled really well and that worked for me. But, back to that crazy plot... There was a consistent feeling of suspense and that things would blow up at some point. The ending was seriously intense and I was literally holding on and flipping pages as fast as I could. And then it was so sweet and I just melted.

In the end, was it what I wished for? Yes! I got laughs, suspense, and romance, which was what I was expecting. It also brought out all the feels, from the feel of danger, to concern, to swoon-worthy romance. I'm looking forward to more from this author!

Summary

She just wanted to shake up her love life. Jacklyn (Jack) Wyatt is the typical twenty-five-year-old living the typical Provo single life with the typical bad luck—at least until the FBI recruits her for a completely different type of dating.

A young woman has gone missing, and all signs point to her online dating profile as the kidnapper’s operating ground. But when suspects who crossed paths with the missing girl begin contacting Jack, the FBI sees its opportunity for an inside man—er, woman.

Now Jack will have to play the field, dating each of the men in an attempt to weed out the kidnapper. But with such an unusual array of characters vying for her attention, pinpointing the culprit may prove even harder than finding Mr. Right. And as more young women disappear, will Jack stay professional and objective, even with the handsome Special Agent Damon Wade just a whisper in her hidden microphone away?

About the Author

A veteran of the Utah dating trenches, Kari Iroz was once just another ordinary Mormon girl looking for love. She had lived these clichés and agonized through these awkward blind dates to laugh about them with you. Now a wife (he's dreamy) and mom to the two cutest girls in the world (disagree if you like, it' my bio), she writes comedy and speculative fiction.
