Summary

Kristen Simmons’ fast-paced, gripping YA dystopian series continues in Three.

Ember Miller and Chase Jennings are ready to stop running. After weeks spent in hiding as two of the Bureau of Reformation’s most wanted criminals, they have finally arrived at the safe house, where they hope to live a safe and quiet existence.

And all that’s left is smoking ruins.

Devastated by the demolition of their last hope, Ember and Chase follow the only thing left to them—tracks leading away from the wreckage. The only sign that there may have been survivors.

With their high profile, they know they can’t stay out in the open for long. They take shelter in the wilderness and amidst the ruins of abandoned cities as they follow the tracks down the coast, eventually finding refugees from the destroyed safe house. Among them is someone from Chase’s past—someone he never thought he’d see again.

Banding together, they search for a place to hide, aiming for a settlement a few of them have heard about…a settlement that is rumored to house the nebulous organization known as Three. The very group that has provided Ember with a tiny ray of hope ever since she was first forced on the run.

Three is responsible for the huge network of underground safe houses and resistance groups across the country. And they may offer Ember her only chance at telling the world her story.

At fighting back.

This or That

Hi Tressa! Thanks for having me on your blog to talk a little bit of this and a little bit of that. I hope you and your readers enjoy THREE!

Thanks for stopping by, Kristen! Time for the fun...

Present day or a dystopian world?
Present Day. I’m not nearly tough enough for dystopia.

Get out of the house or stay at home?
Total homebody. I love exploring, but for short bursts.

Then I want my sweatpants and my couch!

Winter or summer?
Winter in Florida. Summer in the mountains.

Apple cider or hot chocolate?
I am on a HUGE Panera hot chocolate kick right now. I love it!

They have chocolate chip marshmallows, did you know that?

Enjoy fairy tales or realistic worlds?
Fairytales for sure. I love story worlds.

Cats or Dogs?
I’m a dog person.

Pie or cake?
Cake. Pie is so healthy. All the fruit…you know. Cake is delightful in every way.

Play an instrument/sing or just listen?
I used to play the drums in high school. I wish I still did!

Dine out or cook at home?
Dine out! No dishes that way!

Flats or heels?
Heels. My husband’s tall and it’s easier to kiss him that way.

Car or truck?
My first car was an old Ford F-150. I loved that old truck.

Use the treadmill or go outside?
Outside. But let’s not get crazy. I’m not running sprints or anything.

Rural or city?
Rural. I grew up on a cattle ranch.

Ebook or physical book?
Ebook for adult books, physical books for young adult books. I don’t know why.

Rain or sunshine?
I love the rain!
