Summary

Is she part of the solution…or the problem?

It could be a terrorist threat. Or is it some other sinister plot? An unprecedented rash of security breaches at San Diego's international airport is putting passengers at risk and bringing the competence of the airport's chief of security, Ariana Atkins, into question. With explosives the weapon of choice, police K-9 unit captain Logan O'Connor and his bomb detection dog, Boomer, might be Ariana's best, if not only, line of defense. Logan is certain his belief in Ariana, and his growing love for her, aren't misplaced…but it wouldn't be the first time he's misjudged someone's intentions.

My Review

WHEN I FOUND YOU was a fun romance with some added suspense, which brought extra tension. There were some great swoon-worthy moments, lovable characters, and a climatic-turned-sweet ending. Readers will get to know the K-9 unit's captain and his dog after getting glimpses in the previous two books as well as see some cameos from prior characters. Each book, however, can be read on its own. Recommended to those who enjoy sweet romantic suspense.

I really liked these characters! Ariana feels like she has a lot to prove even though she shouldn't have to. She enjoys her job, but has a rather lonely life. The same is true of Logan who has decided against any meaningful relationships due to the risks of his job as a police officer. From the first time they meet, there are some sparks that neither can ignore even against their wishes to do so. I loved the role Boomer, Logan's dog, took in the story as well.

The story moved at a steady pace and slowly built to a climax as both the danger at the airport increased and the romance came to a head. I thought the plot was really well done and I enjoyed it from beginning to end.

I was a little frustrated with the on and off again romance. One moment Ariana would be sending positive signals to Logan and then the exact opposite. Then Logan would do the same. I also felt like their relationship jumped to love pretty quick. I wanted more development there than just chemistry, a few dates, and a few run-ins at the airport.

In the end, was it what I wished for? This was another enjoyable story in this series and I'm looking forward to more.

Content: Some violence due to the suspense and mild language.
