Tackle Your TBR Read-a-thon Sign-Up

Does your TBR pile just keep growing? Well, so do ours! Laura @ Colorimetry and I decided it was a great time to organize a read-a-thon, especially with the kids back in school.
Read-a-thon Information

The Tackle Your TBR Read-a-thon begins September 8th and ends September 21st. You do not have to be a blogger to sign up. Just use your Goodreads, Twitter, Facebook, or Tumblr profile instead (the place you're going to post updates on).

Please sign up by using the linky at the end of the this post where it says "Add your link." You MUST be signed up in the linky to enter the giveaways and participate in the challenges.

You don't need a blog or website to participate. You can use whatever public profile (we need to be able to see what you're reading and cheer you on), such as your Goodreads, Twitter, Tumblr profile, just whatever you might post updates on. This link will go in the field for URL. Then you'll also need to enter your name/blog name as you want it to appear to everyone, and your email address. This is the same for the linky above. Just want to be clear as there has been some confusion.

You can sign up through September 16th.

You're welcome to participate as much or as little as you'd like. The read-a-thon is to encourage us all to read so that we can tackle those tbr piles, not to cause extra stress. ;) You will see requests for updates about every other day at the end of specific posts, but again, there are no requirements that you do it. If you do want to post a daily update, here is a simple template (omit or add things as you like):

Both Laura and I will be posting during the read-a-thon, me daily and Laura a little more randomly. Feel free to leave a link or your update in comments when we do, so that we can all see how everyone is doing and cheer each other on. We will be using hashtag #TackleTBR on Twitter for updates and tweets. This is also a great way to find others participating and give some encouragement.

Want to know what to expect each day besides our daily posts? There will be author guest posts, challenges, and giveaways, including the grand prize giveaway with multiple winners sponsored by the hosts that will end on September 22nd. Here is what the schedule looks like so far (we will re-post it with the host information and links when the read-a-thon kicks off):

Challenges - We are now full.

If you’re participating in the read-a-thon and would love to host a challenge, this is what you need to know:

There will be five dates available. The dates are: September 9th, 11th, 13th, 17th, and 19th.

There aren’t a lot of requirements to host a challenge, but here they are:
  1. You must have a blog to post on so that everyone has access to your post and can participate.
  2. Posts need to be up by 6 am wherever you live on the day of your post.
  3. Your challenge can be as easy (asking a question and the participant leaving a comment or linking a post on their blog, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, etc.) or as difficult as you like. Just be sure it’s something participants can do if they don’t have a blog.
  4. Also, we would love it if you also posted a giveaway with your challenge, but it isn’t required. If you do have a challenge that takes some time or serious effort, you really should have a giveaway as an incentive for doing it.
If you need ideas for a challenge, we have plenty, so just email me (Tressa) and I'll give you some.

Ready to sign up to host a challenge? Please fill out the following form:

Author Guest Posts - We are now full.
