My Review

DEAR JANE was unexpectedly humorous, dramatic, and sweet. It was full of crazy and complicated family and love interests, a little danger, and one girl who is just trying to figure out her life after her mission. Recommended to those who enjoy LDS romance with some drama and a sweet romance.

I enjoyed this story. I got how Quinn could feel like her whole world was crashing down on her and how she could hope for something that she had planned on for a long time even if it wasn't right anymore. I did get a little frustrated when she was being so blind. I also didn't like her mother who was really crazy, overly dramatic, judgmental, and felt unrealistic. Besides those things, I really liked Quinn and I really liked Nick (although he was a little bit dramatic himself a few times). There was enough going on, tension between various characters, and chemistry between others that this was an engaging and fairly quick read.

In the end, was it what I wished for? For the most part. The drama was a little over-the-top and unrealistic, but otherwise this was an enjoyable read.

Content: Some violence and innuendo but clean.
