My Review

BACK TO HIS LORDSHIP is a story of a girl who doesn't feel like she's valued much in her life, with a family that doesn't really pay attention to her and a company that wouldn't necessarily miss her if she quit her job. She hasn't found love, or at least love that has last. She's in love with the Regency era and daydreams about what falling in love to a gentleman from there would be like. What she doesn't know is there will be a twist in her story and she'll have to decide what life she'll choose. Full of fun characters and romance, this is a story to be enjoyed by fans of sweet romance who are looking for short and sweet and can suspend belief for the time travel aspect.

This was a light and sweet read. I liked the characters and I liked the overall concept of time travel and how it worked in this book. I did want more development in regards to the characters and the story. I felt like there were things I was missing or holes in the story that should have been filled that weren't. Maybe that was due to trying to fit the story in a certain number of pages. The romance was pretty quick too and I wanted more time for that to develop as well. I just wanted more.

In the end, was it what I wished for? An overall short and sweet read that I enjoyed.
