Summary

Preparing for Relief Society has never been easier with this invaluable book. For each week, you’ll find a lesson summary, quotes from General Authorities, hymns that match the topic, and a beautiful handout you can copy for each sister. With all the prep work done, you can focus on personalizing your lessons to fit the needs of your dear sisters.

My Review

I thought this was a great resource for Relief Society teachers. I liked how it gave a compilation of resources that would work with each lesson, such as songs that could be sung, Gospel Art pictures, videos, a few object lessons, church magazine articles, etc. There are also suggested handouts for each lesson as well. I do wish that the handout hadn't had any writing on the back side because some printers pick that up and the writing can bleed through, so that would be one suggested change. Another would be a larger area for recording thoughts and notes, maybe an additional whole page. It also included quotes from the lesson manual and a challenge to leave with the sisters. I like going through and finding my own quotes, but it was a handy summary of the lesson. It pretty much would save the teacher quite a bit of time if she wanted to add something additional to the lesson. Overall, The Ready Resource for Relief Society is definitely a handy little book to use as a companion for those teaching out of Ezra Taft Benson's book in 2015.
