The Hot Summer Reads Readathon Summary

YA Romantics

The Hot Summer Reads Readathon was hosted by Patrick @ The Bookshelves and Jen @ YA Romantics. You can see the original sign-up post here.

I was a little late signing up, but had already finished three books this week when I did and I just thought I was on such a great roll, why not sign up and have some fun with it? I hope Jen and Patrick do this again next year, because I will definitely want them too. :) I really liked doing the challenges too!

Here are the books that I included in my challenge and where I got with them:

Lord Haversham Takes Command by Heidi Ashworth - Read Sunday night. Review to still be posted.
UPDATE: My review has now been posted here.
Dirty Little Secret by Jennifer Echols - Read Monday night and review just posted.
The Elite by Kiera Cass - Read Tuesday night (last night). Review still to be posted.
Prep School Confidential by Kara Taylor - For a tour next week. UPDATE: Finished Thursday night.
The Hero's Lot by Patrick W. Carr - For a tour next week. UPDATE: 1/2 of the way through.
All These Things I've Done by Gabrielle Zevin - On my bookshelves. UPDATE: Finished. Review to be posted.
Imposter by Susanne Whinnacker - From the library.
Mind Games by Kiersten White - On my bookshelves.
The Runner by A. Wayne Gill - For review.

I didn't finish my goal of nine books, but I did get six and a half books read, which is pretty amazing in itself. Also, at the time of this post I still have two and a half hours left until Sunday ends (from where I am in AZ) and so I might get The Hero's Lot finished. We'll just have to see. I can't keep this pace up, of course, and it's best not to as my house and the kids suffer a little for it. Mostly the house - not so much the kids since they all read with me and play by themselves and the majority of my reading is actually done after they've gone to bed. Maybe it's more that my husband suffers. ;)

Anyway, overall I had a great time and got a lot read. You'll be seeing reviews for these in the future, at least of the books with reviews not already posted. If you participated in the challenge, did you meet your goal?
