2014 Jane Austen Challenge

UPDATE: I ended up not getting through any of these. Too much going on and too much reading to do. It was still a great challenge and I do hope that all of us will read at least one classic each year. :)

I have really slacked off on reading all the classical literature that I've wanted to, a lot of which I have on my shelves. I have wanted to finish reading Austen's novels for a while now and can't believe I haven't done it! I mean out of 200+ books last year you'd think I would have fit them in! ;) I came across this challenge hosted by Pamela @ Reading Is Fun Again and thought "Perfect!" I only have Mansfield Park left and it is a long book, so that's the one book I'm going to read for sure.

Here is what it entails:

Timeline
Jan-Feb - Sense & Sensibility
March-April - Pride & Prejudice
May-June - Mansfield Park
July-Aug - Emma
Sept-Oct - Northanger Abbey
Nov-Dec - Persuasion

If you want to get in on the fun (and keep me motivated to complete this challenge), feel free to  read-along! You can read/participate in as much of the challenge as you want. I will post my review of each book on the last weekday of the month (see below), and I will have a linky in the review post, so you can link up your review too! I just ask that you link back to my blog and use the graphic in your review post, so others can join in.

Review Dates
Sense & Sensibility - Feb 28th
Pride & Prejudice - April 30th
Mansfield Park - June 30th
Emma - Aug 29th
Northanger Abbey - Oct 31st
Persuasion - Dec 31st

I really loved S&S, P&P, NA, and P! If I can fit any of them in, I'll read along for those, but I'm only committing to read Mansfield Park for sure. I'm looking forward to it!

  1. You know how just a few years go, you had to go to a professional salon every month to
have a stranger touch your body parts and remove
the hair using the big laser machine. >From my experience, pear shaped
women need to focus on light to moderate weights with very high volume repetitions in the lower half
of their bodies, incorporating lots of cardio workouts too.
If you want something that will assist with a particular issue, for example, fine lines or age spots,
or if your skin is sensitive to certain chemicals, then you should read up on how well
it's able to deal with these problems.
