My Review
SNOWBOUND WITH AN HEIRESS is a fun read! The chemistry is palpable, the characters likable, and the story interesting. Then there's this little dog who almost steals the show and definitely will steal readers' hearts... This is the perfect book to curl up to on a wintry night!
I loved, loved the opening scenes of this story! The dog, Serena's inner thoughts, the instant attraction, and the tough walk to the cabin... Just a perfect, laugh-out-loud, swoon worthy, emotional-pull-on-my-heart beginning. From there the humor and chemistry continue with several moments I couldn't help laughing about. The dog is just up to all sorts of mischief and I loved his involvement in the story. I liked getting to know Serena and Jackson. They were a fun couple. I loved that they both didn't really want their seclusion to end and reality to set in. I loved the way they began prepping for Christmas and the sweetness of those moments.
The issues I had were mostly with the ending. I felt like Serena's reaction was a little overboard and that what happened from there to almost the end just didn't quite sit right with me. I did still love the ending. It was very sweet.
In the end, was it what I wished for? This was an enjoyable and fun read! It made me smile and had some swoon-worthy moments. If a sweet romance with some heat and a little Christmas cheer is what you're looking for, give this one a try!
