Three Months to Change

Interview with the Author
What is your motivation behind Three Months to Change? Why did you want to write it?
Whenever I write, the idea is just there—from nowhere. I wake one morning and the idea is in my brain and the story begins to develop. I think about it at every open moment—or rather it must be thinking about me because my characters begin to talk and come alive. This is somewhat frustrating because I can never get it down on paper (computer) in time to keep the original flow. Still, I begin because all of it is beginning without me if I don’t! Three Months to Change was the same and my heroine is still bouncing around in my head!
What do you hope readers take with them after they’ve read it?
The one thing that is important in a story like this is the believability. Though some of it is certainly fiction, there is a base of untested science that could really lead someone down the road to “knowing.” I’m hoping the reader will take that road—that leap. It would be great if those who just liked to read paranormal romance could actually start looking at it in a real way—that it could happen … to anyone at any time in any circumstance.
Do you have a favorite scene that you can share with us?
I really like it when my character Lenora overreacts. She feels it necessary, but sometimes she offers up a snicker behind hands. In one scene she wakes and hears voices in her living room. She pulls a baseball bat from beneath her bed and then flies out into the room with a great ninja yell. All action stops when those in the living room are not “the ghostly mist” she was expecting, and instead they are amused at her entrance. “You always amaze me, Lenora! You play baseball, too?!” She’s not too happy after that.
If you could sum the book up in one sentence, what would you say?
This is a romantic (coming of age in a manner of speaking) story that brings together not only unlikely “special” characters, but strange situations that the heroine has never considered possible: this is woman against…well, everything.
Share something about you that is unique - maybe about how/where you write... or favorite snack foods?
I am a paranormal investigator with some ghostly experiences that might mirror my heroine. Learning the ghosty ropes has been the most interesting and challenging thing I’ve done in the past decade. It changes one’s life. And then you see UFOs. (I did!)

Paranormal Romance
Paperback & ebook, 208 Pages

Lenora was changing...not in any frightening way. At least, not at first. There was the intense ability to shield herself from abuse that was very empowering. But her other senses had become heightened as well, and that’s when she’d begun seeing scenes from the past, and smoky mists inside her home.
Meeting Frankie in the midst of all this had been a wonderful treat—there weren’t many men who could stir her emotions as he was prone to do. Still, there was something strange about him, something she couldn’t put her finger on. Ah, well, desirable men with the air of mystery were compelling and fun. Weren’t they?
And what about Rex? She wasn’t sure. He was part of a fearsome family, making her wonder if such tales of werewolves and monsters were true. Just how did she fit in? And why would she even want to?
All she kept hearing, however, was that there were only a precious three months before a full change. Time was awastin’.
