Summary

Britt Bradford and Zander Ford have been the best of friends since they met thirteen years ago. Unbeknown to Britt, Zander has been in love with her for just as long.

Independent and adventurous Britt channels her talent into creating chocolates at her hometown shop. Zander is a bestselling author who's spent the past 18 months traveling the world. He's achieved a great deal but still lacks the only thing that ever truly mattered to him--Britt's heart.

When Zander's uncle dies of mysterious causes, he returns to Merryweather, Washington, to investigate, and Britt is immediately there to help. Although this throws them into close proximity, both understand that an attempt at romance could jeopardize their once-in-a-lifetime friendship. But while Britt is determined to resist any change in their relationship, Zander finds it increasingly difficult to keep his feelings hidden.

As they work together to uncover his uncle's tangled past, will the truth of what lies between them also, finally, come to light?

My Review

SWEET ON YOU is the highly anticipated final book in the Bradford Sisters Romance series. It's a story about unrequited love, trust in God and those who love you, and letting yourself be vulnerable to someone else. Readers will fall in love with these characters, cheer them on, and wish them the happily-ever-after they deserve. Highly recommended!

By the end of this story, I was in love with these characters. To be completely honest, I struggled with Britt about half-way through the book. She was a complex character and I got her choices and how she felt, but I couldn't agree with her, particularly when she was so blind to Zander's love and then also was so prideful and pushed him away. I've been dying to find out her story during this whole series, but it was rough in places, particularly towards the end. Zander and her face a dire situation at one point that was quite suspenseful and it was difficult to watch them struggle. Zander, on the other hand, I adored. He was that perfect mix of tortured soul, brains, strength, understanding, and humility. Plus he totally won the award for best friend ever. I came to understand and appreciate Britt, but Zander I loved. He made this story for me.

I loved the romance in this story. As I said, it was tough in places, but it was also sweet, beautiful, and swoon-worthy. Plus, one of my favorite tropes is friends-to-lovers. There was so much history between these two and I loved how good of friends they were before anything else. This whole series has the best romances! And I appreciate that it isn't all about the romance, there's a lot more going on in this story. I also loved how the inspirational aspects were woven throughout. This is something Wade does so very well in all her books. I loved how both Britt and Zander had to come to their own realizations and learn to trust in God―to really hand over their lives, hopes, weaknesses, everything to Him.

I also need to mention the chocolate... Britt is a chocolatier and runs a chocolate shop. Oh my goodness! It made me so hungry for good chocolates. Truffles are one of my favorite things. I loved learning about different flavors and processes and seeing Britt and Zander cook together. Don't go into this book hungry! Lol!

In the end, was it what I wished for? I thoroughly enjoyed reading this! If you're a fan of this series or Christian contemporary romance, or even just contemporary romance, grab this one and this whole series! It doesn't disappoint.
