My Review

UNDERCOVER HONEYMOON is another hilarious, romantic and suspenseful ride from this author and series! With an everyday heroine and hero to cheer on, plenty of sparks flying (of the romantic and suspenseful type), laugh-out-loud humor, and a plot that will entertain from beginning to end, readers are sure to love every minute of this story.

This is the third book that focuses on these characters (in the first book they meet and end up working together, in the second they're dating and she almost ruins his operation, and in this one they get married and are off on a honeymoon). You don't have to read the other two books to understand and enjoy this one (especially as the author does a fabulous job of recapping the prior books), but it definitely enhances the experience if you already know these characters.

First off, I have fond memories of these characters from the first two books and that made seeing them get married even more blissful. The chemistry has always been present between them, but especially in this book it's swoon-worthy romance at its best. Jack was her usual clumsy, talks-herself-into-problems gal, with a heart of gold, and a desire to help Damon and the FBI. She's sweet and strong in her faith. Damon is a solid guy. He's smart, strong, loyal, courageous, also leans on his faith, and knows how to give Jack his full attention (at least most of the time). I really loved seeing these two together again!

I've always enjoyed Jack's voice that is full of sarcasm and humor, and her character provides plenty of humor. In this book, it's no different, and from the first page I was already smiling and laughing. I also liked how faith was woven into the story. It wasn't forced but was more natural and just a part of these characters' lives. I also appreciated that the author didn't make the story all peachy perfect. These two definitely had some things to learn about marriage, communication, and working together. There was one point that was really heartbreaking and pulled on my emotions—I wanted to cry and yell at Damon. Then the last third of the book... what a crazy, roller-coaster ride of suspense. It was a bit over the top in places with Jack's drama and clumsiness, but otherwise this story had it all.

In the end, was it what I wished for? I so enjoyed reading this! If you enjoy lots of sarcastic humor, crazy and hilarious mishaps, swoon-worthy romance, and a conclusive hold-on-to-your-seat suspense, then definitely pick this book up. I can't wait to see what adventure waits for these two next!
