Summary
Isabel “Izze” Vez, bridal consultant extraordinaire, has been helping brides find The Dress for years. She loves nothing more than helping make wedding dreams come true…but sometimes the happy endings grate on her. How many times can a girl discover someone else’s gown without dreaming of the day it’ll be her turn to wear one?
When James Miles Clayton walks into her life, he represents everything Izze can’t handle: change. He’s determined to bring the Ever After Bridal Boutique into the black…and to prove to Izze that she should give him a chance.
But if there’s anything Izze handles worse than change, it’s trust. She may have a few issues—fine, she knows she does. But will they keep getting in the way of any chance of her own Happily Ever After? She wants to trust God to give her those dreams of love and lace, but that’s going to require some…minor alterations.

My Review
LOVE, LACE, AND MINOR ALTERATIONS is the perfect title for this story about a wedding shop consultant who finds that God has some alterations for her before she can find her happily-ever-after. The characters are lovable, the story sweet, with inspirational moments woven throughout. Those who enjoy inspirational romance are sure to enjoy this one!
I loved Izze! She was such a great character. Her sarcasm and humor kept the story entertaining. I also loved Miles, who is a rather dashing leading man. Their relationship was fun and I loved the banter as well as the sweet moments. They had a rocky start and middle and end. I also loved all the secondary characters. There was such a strong feeling of camaraderie and family that I really enjoyed. The inspirational elements are fairly strong, but I didn't feel they were overdone (although my preference would have been for them to be turned down a notch).
I loved this part and the way it all fits with the story and the title:
In the end, was it what I wished for? This was a very fun read. I pretty much enjoyed it from beginning to end and am looking forward to more from Izze's roommates.

God took my mess, and He gave me a fresh start. All thanks to His minor alterations.
