My Review
HEIRESS'S ROYAL BABY BOMBSHELL is a sweet story about two people who didn't realize what they had when they had it, but by chance, are brought back together at the right time to give themselves a second chance, but with a baby on the way thrown into the mix to complicate things. The setting is at Christmastime, but doesn't over-dominate the story, making this a read that can be read at any time of the year. There are also some nice familial and small-town aspects that added to the story. An overall enjoyable read!
I really liked both of these main characters. Max is done sowing his wild seeds, as they say, and thinks it's time to settle down and be more responsible. Some of that has to do with meeting Noemi. He's a great guy and rather attached to Noemi, but trying to figure out how to win her over. Noemi is both sweet and tough. I loved her backbone and that she wasn't blown away by Max being a prince, although she is also in awe a little. They're a good pair and I enjoyed seeing them work through things to see if a relationship would work.
I would have liked a little more use of these characters' backgrounds, such in how they talked or an accent, or some other things. They didn't necessarily feel like who they were supposed to be, in a sense. I also would have liked a little more development, but I also know that authors are limited to page counts in these Harlequin lines. I missed not seeing how Max's mother reaction to everything, so I would have liked that scene to have been included.
In the end, was it what I wished for? This was a light, sweet romance with some fun themes and a few twists.
Content: Two closed-door love scenes and some innuendo.
