Excerpt
Jonah unfurled a blanket from his bag and helped her to sit. Joining her,
he tugged out two waters and an economy size bag of Peanut M&M’s. She
laughed as he opened them and held the bag in front of her. “Happy birthday
again.”
She pulled out a handful and tossed a few in her mouth, a wide grin on
her face as she bit into them.
Jonah clenched his hands against the desire to pull her near and kiss her
right then and there. “Good?” he asked.
“It’s Peanut M&M’s. Need you even ask?”
The red flower in her hair drew his attention to her red lips as it had
several times tonight. But right now it was the carefree joy spilling across
her face, sparkling in her eyes, and turning those lips up that stopped him
cold. Oh man, she had no idea how beautiful she was.
About the Author
Susan L. Tuttle lives in the Mitten State where she’s a homeschooling mom of three and happily married to her best friend. Between raising her teens and leading the women’s ministry at church, she finds time to write. She’s firmly convinced that letters were meant for words, not math, and loves stringing them together into stories that inspire and encourage.
