Love in the Details by Becky Wade (Review)

Becky Wade is one of my favorite authors. I've read all four of her published books and was excited to see her write a novella for this line of books from Zondervan. These are all sweet, fun, and romantic novellas that are great to pick up anytime, anywhere, for a satisfying read with a happily-ever-after ending. Love in the Details fit right in and was a pleasure to read...

My Review

Love in the Details was a very sweet and enjoyable read. With some humorous antics, sweet memories, friendship, and a long-time romance renewed, it's sure to be a favorite of romance readers alike.

Both Holly and Josh have come into their own. They're successful and independent. They have basically everything they want, except for one thing. Love. The problem is that they both still hold some of each others' hearts. When a wedding in their hometown brings them back into contact, the test will be to see if the love they had is still there, if it's strong enough to mend their broken hearts, and if it's time for them to fall in love again.

The characters, including those of the town, were each unique and interesting. I connected with them, even when I disagreed on some of the ways they went about things. I was cheering them on while they figured it out. I could see how things fell apart so easily the first time because Holly didn't feel worthy of Josh. That same insecurity rose when she sees him again and knows how very successful he is. I loved that Josh had his own insecurities, but was willing to come up with a rouse to spend more time with Holly. The whole situation and these two characters' feelings were sweet and showed how much they still cared about each other. Their hearts were still so vulnerable.

There was plenty of tension, humor, and romance to keep the story moving and keep me engaged. Overall, Love in the Details was another solid romance from Becky Wade. With soft moments, some inspiration, family and friendship, and a love to risk everything for, it's definitely one I'd recommend.

I'd obviously have to agree. You can check out my reviews for Undeniably Yours, Meant to Be Mine, and A Love Like Ours, as well as a non-Porter family novel, My Stubborn Heart.

What do you think? Will you be picking Love in the Details up?
