A themed tour with Prism Book Tours.
Welcome to my tour stop for Parched by Georgia Clark! I always like finding out more
about the main characters in a book and seeing who the author would pick to play them.
Check out some fun info about the leading man, Hunter Adams, from Parched below...
Robots, renewable resources, and romance get tangled together in this thrilling futuristic adventure novel about a utopian city struggling to keep its peace.
Age: 18
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Somewhere between grey and green
Likes: Discovering new things, wordplay, flying buzzcars, Tess (maybe?)
Tess is first introduced to Hunter when she returns to her home of Eden—a lush, technically advanced and socially conscious city that thrives under a clear dome—after spending a year in the rough ‘n’ ready Badlands. He’s her uncle’s teaching assistant, socially awkward if thoughtful: ‘his curious, darting eyes seem to exude intelligence’. As Tess begins secretly training with the scrappy eco-activists, Kudzu, she’s also being forced to study with Hunter. Hunter tries to keep a distance from hers, but their pull to each other is undeniable. But can Tess trust her uncle’s mysterious assistant? And is Hunter really who he says he is? (Spoiler alert: No)

In creating the character of Hunter, I was inspired by a plethora of smart, nerdy guys. I love The West Wing, so you’ll see a little Josh Lyman in there. On the more awkward end of the spectrum, I liked Jesse Eisenbergs’s take on Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network.
Dream Cast: Callan McAuliffe
Reasons to love Callan McAuliffe. 1, He’s Australian, just like me! 2. He slept with a pink stuffed animal until he was nine (fact) 3. He’s a great actor. 4. He’s a sweet guy. I actually met Callan on the set of I Am Number Four, an action/adventure he was in a few years ago, so I can vouch for the fact he’s genuine and cool. I think Parched would be a great film to introduce this hot young Aussie to the world—what do you think?

Getting thirsty for Parched
ReplyDeleteThis seems like a good one. I love seeing dream casts for books, especially when the author chooses the people--authors know what their characters look like and who will be some of the best candidates if a movie is made.
ReplyDeleteLol! I love the male character with a brain comment. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy it if you get a chance to read it!
ReplyDeleteGlad it went on your tbr!
