Bout of Books Final Update

Bout of Books

Welcome to my final update for Bout of Books. You can see my sign-up post with my goals here.

I didn't quite get all the books/pages read that I wanted to, but I still did fairly well. I basically have parts of three books left and then two full ones. I'll be finishing those up this week. My goal was to at least read 1500 pages and I was only short by 263, so not bad.

That's really a lot of books. They certainly look good. I still have quite a big TBR pile and the Kindle books, I don't even want to go there! I keep collecting them, thinking one day I will read them all. I hope I live so long !

  3. Wow -- I often read multiple books at a time, but I haven't done that recently. You did a great job on BoB -- congrats!

So many great books on your list! Cress was on of my favs of 2014! the only book that I have read on your list too. Most of them are on my TBR list.

What a challenge; it is hard to read many books at once. ;)

I hope I can get that many this year.

  8. What a fun list, Tressa. I loved some of these as well. Most of the Christian fiction books are favorites or ones I really want to read still (*cough* Jenny B. Jones). Then most of those YA books I'm still *dying* to read. Cannot wait to start them.
Thanks for the fun giveaway. It's a cool idea to offer the winter's pick of your 2014 favorites. Leaves a lot of room for the winner to chose. :)

This reminds me, I need to start Dearest. What did you think about it? I loved Hero, particularly Saturday in it.

  17. It was crazy, wasn't it, how much I read? I'm actually hoping to read just as much this year. There were a lot of books that I didn't get to too and so I'm hoping to get to those and read less books that I don't like. Of course, I don't know I won't like them until I read them. Lol! Definitely more DNFs for me though. I've already done that with a few books over the past month or so.

I did love Finn too. :) You've got to read On the Fence!! Those brothers and the other characters! Did you read The Distance Between Us? There are a few characters that show up from that, but the book is very different. I really loved that one!

  18. Lol! I know exactly how you feel! It's almost like I need the publishing industry to take a year off so I can read without adding to my pile. :) Except, I love new releases... Oh well.

  19. The longer I've blogged the more I've realized that there are a lot of good books out there and that it's tough to pick which ones I'll get to read because I just can't read them all regardless of how much I want to. I'll come see if you had a favorites' list. :)

  20. It's awesome however many you read. I've figured that I can't compare. I just read as much as I can, which of course means I always want to read more. Lol!

  21. Ha! You read a ton too. I know there are several books that you loved that are still on my list and I really want to get to. Who needs sleep, right?

I'm hoping that the collection was diverse enough that whoever wins will find a favorite.

  22. Well, one of my goals as a reader/blogger is to expose readers to different books and not just the main stream ones. There are some great books out there. Sometimes it just can be hard to find them outside the usual places. I hope there's something for everyone in my list. :)

  23. Thanks! It's a crazy number, honestly. It helps that I read at a good clip. :)

  24. Hey, Amber! I hope you enjoy the ones that you read!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oh, me too!!! There are so many different directions it could all go in.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I hope you like it! It's the second in that series, so you might want to try the first book before that one.

  27. Thanks for stopping by!

  31. Thanks, Jen. I seem to always be reading at least two books at a time or three. One is normally for a tour and then one that's a library book or from my shelves while also reading an ARC. Kind of crazy and probably not always the best, but it seems to work for me. :)

  32. I really, really liked it. I think Enchanted will always be my favorite, but I enjoyed this one too. And Saturday was awesome in Hero. Friday was a more reserved, but also fierce heroine. Maybe steady is the better word for her. I would say her fierceness shows the most at the end and it's a glorious one at that. :)
