I'm really loving posting these and sharing some good deals each week. I only picked up a few ebooks this week. One of the ebooks I got was The Anne Stories. This is really such a great deal and I was excited because it comes with links for audiobooks of most of the books as well (just from the public domain).

Goodreads summary:
The Premier "Anne of Green Gables" Collection
As the father of four daughters who LOVE the Anne books, I set out to create the ultimate Kindle edition of these timeless books. I wanted a perfectly-formatted, easy-to-use Kindle release at a price that couldn't be beat. And here is the result!
This exciting collection has these great features:
--The complete text of eight great books featuring Anne Shirley
--Three additional novels from Lucy Maud Montgomery
--Links to download the unabridged audiobooks of all 11 titles for FREE!
--The ability to easily jump to any book using the Kindle "go to" feature
--An individual, active table of contents for each book so you can go to any chapter
--Clean formatting, giving you full control over fonts and font sizes
--Did I mention an unbeatable price?
All included titles, along with their publication date, are listed below.
--Anne of Green Gables (1908)
--Anne of Avonlea (1909)
--Anne of the Island (1915)
--Anne's House of Dreams (1917)
--Rainbow Valley (1919)
--Rilla of Ingleside (1921)
--Chronicles of Avonlea (1912)
--Further Chronicles of Avonlea (1920)
--The Story Girl (1911)
--The Golden Road (Sequel to The Story Girl, 1913)
--Kilmeny of the Orchard (1910)
Unfortunately, there are two "Anne" books which were published later and can't yet be included in this Kindle collection because of copyright restrictions. These are "Anne of Windy Poplars" (1936) and "Anne of Ingleside" (1939).
Thanks for checking out my Anne Stories collection. I hope you and your family enjoy these books as much as we have!

So glad to see Anne with red hair unlike that awful cover with a blonde on it. Hope some people will pick this up and fall in love with Anne!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it pretty hair too! Gilbert was my first crush and he still is a great fictional guy. ;) My children won't grow up without reading and watching Anne of Green Gables - I only feel slightly bad for the two boys.
DeleteI have never read the Anne books but that is an incredible deal! Maybe I should try them out. My mom used to love them and we usually like the same books.
ReplyDeleteI know you made a comment about being more careful about content now that you have kids and these definitely meet that criteria. There are some hilarious lol moments too! They definitely aren't page-turners per se, but most classics aren't, so just expect that. I highly recommend them!
DeleteIf I didn't already have the Anne books I'd get them today for sure. I agree about being glad to see a normal Anne, and not that bizarre blonde cover. She looks like Kirsten Dunst! Thanks for sharing these! :-)
ReplyDeleteI already had some of the books, but not all. I do wish it included those two additional books, although one of them is mostly just love letters.
DeleteYou're definitely welcome! You should check all my other Feed My Reader Friday posts to see if any of those are still free/specially priced if you haven't already.
