Well, I was thinking I wouldn't do another one of these since I really don't have time to track things. This one seems low key, so I think it will work. Plus I have so many books to read and these help me see what I need to read and how far I get, especially when I think I haven't read enough and then I see all I did read. :) This is hosted over at Bookwyrming Thoughts. You can sign up here.
Details/Rules - Final Changes (they're minor)
- Read at least FIVE books. There's definitely no limit as to how many books you want to read
- It can be any book published BEFORE June 1, 2014
- ARCs have to be published before June 1, 2014
- Anyone's welcome to join, even if you don't have a blog or Tumblr - yes, that includes Goodreads, YouTube, B&N, Smashwords, etc.
- A starting post is optional, unless you are making this a TBR challenge and want to get through a specific pile of books.
- There are 5 MANDATORY review links, along with a daily free entry, in which anyone can actually enter. The giveaway is more aimed to SRC participants this year.
- Okay, the freebie is mandatory. Then you have to past Book 1 before other options are open. Sorry.
- Review links must be posted between June 1 - September 1
- Earn extra entries for more than 5 reviews and adding the Summer Reading Challenge button to your blog (linking back). It can be the banner, but that'll probably make it hard to read, so you might want to grab the one at the end of the post.
- Only 1 additional review per DAY. Like I said earlier, I HIGHLY recommend you bookmark this and take note.
- If you crosspost, you only need to link up to ONE.
- It does not have to be a long review, but it can't be just one or two words, like good. Or bad.
- Giveaway ends September 2 at Midnight CST. A winner will be chosen within a few days (depending on how busy I am)
- Prize: $5 Amazon Gift Card (Bing Rewards doesn't give more than that. I might toss in another, but that's yet to be determined
So, I have a lot of books that I've missed and need to read. Obviously I just need to read five and that's what I'll set as my goal, but I'm planning on reading as many of these as I can. I have other books coming up that are being published after June 1st that I'm planning on reading this summer (see my next post) as well. I will link up reviews as I post them to each cover. This list is apt to change, be added to, or have some titles removed. So, here goes (in no particular order):
Here are the books that I actually got read (from the above list and others published before June):
Obviously I still have some reading to do. Lol! How did you do with your summer reading? What books do you still need to read that have already been published?
