Weekly Update #129

Welcome to my Weekly Update where I post my blog's schedule for the week! I'm linking up to The Sunday Post, hosted by Kimba @ The Caffeinated Book Reviewer, as well as to Tynga's Reviews and Talk Supe for showcasing the books I added to my shelves or Kindle this week.

This past week was much busier than I had anticipated. My mother, a prospective author, attended her ANWA meeting earlier in the week where they walked through setting up their own blogs. Well, she then called me the next day because she didn't know what she was doing and I volunteered to help her. I actually know a lot more than I used to and am hoping to learn more and start designing websites in the future. We definitely have different styles so I really tailored her site to her, which took quite a bit of my time. On the positive side, it allowed me to spend some time on the phone and in person with her and to do something for her when she has done so much for me. She's the sweetest lady and technology isn't always kind to her. Honestly, I think she's brave for even attempting to write and allowing others to read what she's working on. Her site is still in progress as she gets some other things set up, but if you want to take a look it's here.

Do you like your blog? Would you change things knowing what you know now? I've been meaning to update my site as well as Prism's and will be this coming year so I'm always curious about what others think of their own sites. I'm sure I'll be posting a discussion post in the future...

This week might actually be my busiest this month. I have a review almost every day and because I've gotten myself behind I haven't read any of these (except the books for today). I'm hoping I'll get some good reading in today and then early in the week so that I can get back on track.

As usual, here's what to expect:

I'm reviewing two different LDS children's books that were both fabulous! The first is Baptism & Boomerangs by Sherrie Gavin and Tatiana Lawton and the second is Scripture Princesses by Rebecca J. Greenwood.
Baptism and Boomerangs Scripture Princesses: Stories of Righteous Daughters of God

I'll be a tour stop for Irish Meadows by Susan Anne Mason. I have started this one and am really enjoying it so far.
Irish Meadows (Courage to Dream #1)

I'll be reviewing The Throne of David by Ann Farnsworth. I'm looking forward to this one!
The Throne of David

As usual, I'll be posting for Waiting on Wednesday. I don't have a review planned this day, so it'll be my breather for this week as well. ;)

I'll be posting a review of the urban fantasy The Lemorian Crest by Hannah L. Clark. I read the first book in this series last year and I'm curious about what happens next.
The Lemorian Crest (Cobbogoth #2)

I'm be reviewing The Hungry Missionary by Tracy Ballard for its blog tour. The title kind of cracks me up. Should be fun trying some very simple, but hopefully good tasting, recipes.
The Hungry Missionary: Quick and Easy Recipes to Keep Missionaries Healthy, Happy, and Well Fed

I'll be a tour stop for Flim Flam and Other Such Gobbledygook by Melica Hudgens and Jay Fontano. Doesn't the cover just crack you up! I'll also be reviewing Joni, Underway by Kelly Oram and Jonathan Harrow for its tour.
