On Thin Ice & Double Booked by Emily Debenham (Review Briefs)

Review briefs are just like they sound, a briefer review (and usually for more
than one book) than my norm for books that I want or need to share about.
It's also a play off of legal briefs, which include just what you need to know...

My Review

ON THIN ICE is a story of a dream lost and learning that dreams can change. It's a sweet and short romance with great characters, small-town charm, and a little celebrity fame. It was easy to fall into this story and enjoy it to the end. An overall delightful story for romance lovers.

My Review

DOUBLE BOOKED is set in a charming little town where a relationship is at risk as an activity center is double booked, ruining one of the character's plans and pitting her against her boyfriend. After loving the first book in this series, expectations were that this one would be just as good. It was an enjoyable story, but there were some issues with feeling the heroine was justified and the chemistry felt off. Thank goodness for a lovely happily-ever-after ending.

I would actually love a story involving the country singer and former actress that were introduced in ON THIN ICE. I think there's a lot of history and backstory there that can add some depth to the characters. The town is also quite charming, which adds to each of these stories.
