Summary

From the New York Times best selling author of NOT WHAT SHE SEEMS.

Madison Nichols, aspiring actress, is floundering. Her rent is due and she needs a job. Desperately. After getting a tip about an open position, she rushes to Jameson Technologies and meets CEO Jared Jameson. Unfortunately, due to a misunderstanding, she is put in the awkward position of pretending to be his girlfriend. Not the job she was applying for. And when she finds out Jared lied to her to get what he wanted, she decides to get back at him. In front of his family.

Jared is stunned when Madison announces they are getting married. She pushed her revenge too far. How can he tell them it’s all a lie? And when his sick aunt asks them to be married before she dies, Madison comes up with a hair-brained plan to hire an actor and stage a fake wedding.

What they both don’t know is Jared’s father has found out about the fake wedding. And he’s got his own hair-brained plan.

This is a sweet romance, appropriate for any age.

My Review

I'll occasionally grab an adult romance book from NetGalley and this one caught my eye when I was browsing. It just looked humorous and cute. Then I read the synopsis and saw that it was a sweet, clean romance, and I decided I needed to read it.

I wasn't disappointed. It was cute and sweet and humorous. Actually it was fairly crazy and outrageous in parts due to the heroine's (Madison's) schemes and made-up stories. Madison is a riot, but also sweet and beautiful. Then there was handsome, rather stiff, and frustratingly attractive Jared who wasn't always sure how to handle Madison. They both challenged each other and also had some serious chemistry. It was rather entertaining seeing how Madison and Jared got into the predicament of becoming engaged and how the plot thickened from there. There were a few twists as well.

I would have liked a little more depth, with stronger characters, and a more believable plot. But really this was a sweet and entertaining romance that put a smile on my face. What else could I ask for?

If you're looking for a light romance, with heart, wit, charm, and endearing characters give Accidentally Married a try. I enjoyed it and will be recommending it to my friends. I'm looking forward to seeing what this author writes next!
