Blog Ahead!

Blog Ahead is hosted by Herding Cats & Burning Soup and goes from November 1st through the 30th.

With the holidays coming up and spending time with family, including some coming in from out of town, I really need to have posts scheduled ahead. I've got a bunch of tours coming up (both that I'm a tour stop for and some that I'm organizing) as well. I debated for a couple of weeks about joining this, but I really do need the extra encouragement to get ahead and to set some goals.

Are you in a similar boat or just want some posts scheduled so you can relax during the holidays? You can sign up and find all the info here.

Obviously I want to get those 30 extra posts scheduled before the end of November. My goal is to schedule a post a day, but some days tend to be busier than others, so I will say that my goal is to have seven extra posts at the end of each week. It would be so awesome if I was mostly scheduled for December when this is over. That means I'd have to get ahead in my reading too, so we'll see.

FINAL UPDATE: I've gotten over 30 posts scheduled/drafted!!! As of 11/30, which is the end of this challenge, I've gotten 17 scheduled posts and then 25 posts that are as prepared as I can have them without my review and the tour hosts' giveaway info. I am maybe two posts shy of having all of December done. It feels so fabulous!

STATUS:

  1. Illusions of Fate is gorgeous. I love all of the elements involved in the design; kudos to whoever dreamed it up! :)

  2. Good luck Tressa too, I am looking to add back some of the posts I used up over the summer with my daughter's wedding. I have 4 books to review for November but hope to get all of December and some feature posts and discussion posts done. Ooo and the sign-ups for Take Control and Clean Sweep.

  3. Good luck Tressa! I need to post ahead, too. 30 posts might be a stretch for me though.

  7. I have several reviews I can schedule too. I just need to do it. I need like a day or two with no kids. Ha! That'll happen. :) I'm hoping to get this done though. I want a lot of free time in December. :)

  9. I so agree! It fits the story well too, which always a cover better to me. I rather dislike it when I expect a type of story from a cover and it is not at all how it is portrayed.

  10. They are both unique. I like covers that I really haven't see before - that don't remind me of something else.

  11. Whoa Tressa look at you go! That's an awesome start you've got going :) Good luck with the rest of the month. I'm in the same boat as you trying to get all of Dec finished before the end of the month. Would be wonderful!

  12. It truly would be great to be able to do it. I'd love to really have some great down time in December, especially when the kids are off of school and we have family in town. Thanks for stopping by!

  13. I like your status bar, that is a good idea! Good luck. I think I've readjusted my goal to 20 posts but maybe I'll do more!

  14. You're doing great Tressa! Almost a third of the way there! Woot! I've been slower going after a quick start but figure pacing a bit at this point is probably a good thing :) Hope the posting bug hits ya this week :)

  15. I am always attracted to covers with a mysterious, darker vibe, so I love several of these covers. Illusions of Fate, Winterspell Lark Rising, Fiendish! But occasionally, a light and cheery cover will catch my eye, and A Little Something Different definitely did! The cover, along with the awesome synopsis! I can't wait to read it. And fortunately, I loved all of the mysterious covers stories, too! Except Lark Rising, which I haven't had the chance to read....yet!

  16. Awesome list!!! Love the cover of The Perilous Sea and Winterkill! I got Lark Rising in the mail last week and the cover is absolutely gorgeous!

  17. Lol! I've been trying to think what pulls at me most... I do love artistic covers, cute covers, fantasy covers... Maybe I like a mix. I do like it when it is original though, just plain gorgeous, or meaningful to the story.

  18. Definitely. I hope you enjoy it! I'm hoping to read it eventually.

  19. I am a fan of artistic covers... I love the original cover of Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan and covers along those lines!
