Summary

It’s never too young to prepare! This charmingly illustrated picture book teaches children what it’s like to be a missionary, from riding a bike to studying the gospel to having a companion, and everything they can do now to be ready so that when the time comes, they’ll be the best missionaries they can be. Colorful and cute, it’s a perfect gift for baptisms and birthdays.

My Review

I Hope They Call Me On a Mission was so cute! I loved the pictures, which immediately pulled me in as well as my kids. I also loved that the written story was a good length on each page. There wasn't too much or too little to read. I also liked that it went through and showed what children could do now that would prepare them for a mission later. The book pointed out some things that kids probably don't think about, like exercising, eating unique (and sometimes disgusting) food, and being rejected. Then it also pointed out the good things and how, even now, they can start building those spiritual muscles that they'll use on their mission. This was definitely a book that we can read with our children to help remind them how to be good examples now and prepare for the future.
