Weekly Update #116

Welcome to my Weekly Update where I post my blog's schedule for the week. I'm linking up to The Sunday Post, hosted by Kimba @ The Caffeinated Book Reviewer, as well as to Tynga's Reviews and Talk Supe for showcasing the books I added to my shelves or Kindle this week.

We still have had unbelievably good weather this week. I've been trying to soak it up when I can. The kids have been spending quite a bit of time outside and now that school is out, we'll be out there quite a bit until it gets really hot.

Last week was another crazy week, but things should settle down a little now and this week has some breaks, so I'm hoping to get all the way caught up.

Here's what to expect:

I'll be participating in the blog tour for Ally's Kitchen by Alice Phillips. This was a fabulous cookbook! Definitely one I recommend and would gift!
Ally's Kitchen: A Passport for Adventurous Palates

Happy Memorial Day! We'll be remembering my grandmother with extended family and visiting with other family as well as just relaxing at home. I hope you all have a wonderful day and take a few minutes to think about those who have gone before.

I'll also be posting my first product review for a duffel bag. A little out of the norm, but should be fun. :)

Is open, amazingly. ;) I'm hoping to have some reviews to post or I might post for Top Ten Tuesday since I love those.

I'll be posting for Waiting on Wednesday. Did you see last week's WOW for YA urban fantasy Legacy of Kings? I'll also be reviewing Spelled by Betsy Schow for its tour.
Spelled

I'll be a tour stop for The Summer of Chasing Mermaids by Sarah Ockler. I got to ask the author some fun questions, so stop on by to see what she has to say.
The Summer of Chasing Mermaids

I'll be a tour stop for Hohenstein by Did Lawson. I always enjoy historical romance.
Hohenstein

I'll be talking about The Artisans by Julie Reece for its tour. I've heard really good things about this one.

The Keys of the Watchmen (Watchmen Saga #1) Daughter of Deep Silence The Fill-In Boyfriend

I'm co-hosting a read-along for Silver in the Blood by Jessica Day George (who I LOVE) in July with Dena from Batch of Books. We held a read-along last fall for the Finishing School Series by Gail Carriger and had a blast! This is another book we decided we'd like to read together. The book releases on July 7th. Jessica will be stopping by as well so we can ask her some questions. I've included the linky here for anyone who is interested in joining. We wanted this up in plenty of time for everyone to join and get their books and all. We'll basically be reading a chapter or about 26 pages a day. We'd love to have you! You don't have to have a blog to participate either. Readers are definitely welcome!!

Then I'm participating in this ARC challenge. You can find out more by clicking on the button:

Yay for good weather and being outside. We have been lucky here too and I love when the kids can enjoy the weather. You had a great book haul this week! A Thousand Nights sounds really interesting. Have a wonderful week!

  2. Glad you're having good weather to keep the kids outside. It's been beautiful here, but chilly. This week we are moving more into summer. The Artisans sounds kind of like a beauty and the beast story. I look forward to your interview.

I'm drooling over all of your new books. LOL
The weather has been in the 80s here and the humidity was brutal most of the week. But I try not to complain as winter is finally gone!

  12. I've heard the same as well. I loved Heather Dixon's (author of Illusionarium) debut and the story sounds like one I would love, so I'm crossing my fingers that I do love it.

  15. Thanks, Laura! I don't like humidity. We just don't get along, but that might have something to do with me being a native Arizonan. I'll be over later tonight.
