Top Ten Tuesday: Beach Reads

I'm participating in Top Ten Tuesday today, hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
Here's today's topic: Ten Books I Think Make Great Beach Reads

This one was tough. I mainly focused on what I look for in a beach read: romance, nothing too serious, and humor. I ended up picking 5 from each genre that I mainly read and all are books that I've read and would re-read (links will take you to my review, if there is one)...
A League of Her Own by Karen Rock
Becoming Lady Lockwood by Jennifer Moore
The Blue Castle by L.M. Montgomery
Edenbrooke by Julianne Donaldson
The Boardwalk Antiques Shop by Julie Wright, Melanie Jacobson, & Heather B. Moore
Meant to Be Mine by Becky Wade
Princess Ever After by Rachel Hauck
It Had to be You by Susan May Warren
Paper Hearts by Courtney Walsh
The Dandelion Field by Kathryn Springer
Rewind to You by Laura Johnston
Waistcoats & Weaponry by Gail Carriger
On the Fence by Kasie West
Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins
Wish You Were Italian by Kristin Rae

What books would you grab to take to the beach?

I love how you broke this out! I primarily read YA-ish Romance so I will definitely check out your picks since I haven't read any of those yet.

  2. I am a sucker for books set in Rome. I love that city so much. We used to have digs there every fall when I was in college... Dead guys can also be fun sometimes ;)

I am amazed at the beautiful covers I'm seeing today! The YA Beach Reads are more my style but I've got my eye on Becoming Lady Lockwood because the cover is so enticing. I'm assuming it's a historical read which I want to read more of. Lovely list <3

  9. Lol! I have an ARC, so really, I should have it read by now too, but I've had all sorts of issues and things going on since February and so all my reading is behind. I hope you get to it soon!

  16. Rebel Belle still makes me smile. I have the second book to read sitting on my shelf, but I was happy that the first book had a great ending - no big cliffhanger. All the Christian fiction are good, so I hope you get a chance to read them and that you like them.

  17. It is historical and she's not real old, so it would almost work as YA, maybe more NA... I'd definitely recommend it. :) Thanks, Adriana!

  18. I hope you love On the Fence! The brothers made that story for me - just the whole feel was fabulous. I loved the main characters as well!

  19. I'll have to look up Christy Miller... The Blue Castle is Montgomery's only true adult book and it is fabulous! I actually need to read it again and write a proper review.

  25. It's good to know that Rebel Belle delivers a complete story for a first in series. I don't mind a teaser to get me excited about a book, but I expect a conclusion to the book that I just spent hours with.

  26. I have been looking for some more mysteries for me to try reading next year, and this one seems like it would be worth my attention! It's a shame that there was not enough suspense to keep you intrigued all the time though.

  27. I actually haven't heard of a lot of these books, but I have when it comes to the YA ones. I hope you get to read some of those this summer :) And maybe even at the beach! The Rebel Belle series looks good and I would love to try it :3

  28. They're a necessity, right? I can't believe we went so long without one!

  29. It was definitely a lighter one, but I did enjoy it and I liked that there were several things going on here too.

  30. I agree. I really don't like cliff hangers.

  31. Lol! Me too!!! It's one of my favorite places.
