Weekly Update #113

Welcome to my Weekly Update where I post my blog's schedule for the week. I'm linking up to The Sunday Post, hosted by Kimba @ The Caffeinated Book Reviewer, as well as linking to Tynga's Reviews and Talk Supe for showcasing the books I added to my shelves or eReader this week.

We had some brief rain tonight and it was lovely. My two youngest ran out to watch it and it was super cute. My oldest is sick with borderline pneumonia. It seem our family is having some health issues this past month. He's already missed a whole week of school, so hopefully he'll be better soon.

I've been swamped between blogging and trying to read and family and starting new things (you can see more about that below). I have books that have to be read by Monday, so wish me luck. :)

Here's what to expect this week:

I'll be reviewing Keep It Real and Grab a Plunger by Julie K. Nelson for its tour. I'm really looking forward to this one!
Keep It Real and Grab a Plunger: 25 Tips for Surviving Parenthood

I posted for this tour, but still need to post my reviews of these two:
Chantress Alchemy (Chantress, #2) Chantress Fury (Chantress, #3)

I'll be posting for Waiting on Wednesday. Did you see last week's WOW for a two Christian romances? I'm also planning on reviewing A Wedding to Die For by Adrianne Lee.
A Wedding to Die For (Weddingville, #1)

I'll be a tour stop for Love, Lucas by Amy Chantele Sedgwick. I've been looking forward to this one for a while. :)
Love, Lucas

I'll be reviewing The Keys of the Watchmen by Kathleen C. Perrin.
The Keys of the Watchmen (Watchmen Saga #1)

I'll be reviewing Summer Fit for Second to Third Grade. We're getting ready for summer and having the kiddos out of school.
Summer Fit, Grades 2-3: Exercises for the Brain and Body While Away from School

I added a few ebooks this week. Lol! Covers will take you to Goodreads or Amazon:

I'm hosting two new events. One begins Monday in honor of Children's Book Week. If you would like to join in hosting a giveaway go ahead and sign up  - clicking on the button will take you to the sign-up post for all the info.

I'm also co-hosting a read-along for Silver in the Blood by Jessica Day George (who I LOVE) in July with Dena from Batch of Books. We held a read-along last fall for the Finishing School Series by Gail Carriger and had a blast! This is another book we decided we'd like to read together. The book releases on July 7th. Jessica will be stopping by as well so we can ask her some questions. This is the first time I've announced this so I've actually included the linky here for anyone who is interested in joining. We wanted this up in plenty of time for everyone to join and get their books and all. We'll basically be reading a chapter or about 26 pages a day. We'd love to have you! You don't have to have a blog to participate either. Readers are definitely welcome!!

Then I'm participating in a couple of things. You can find out more by clicking on their buttons:

I like the cover of Wedding to Die For. I hope you didn't get all of those NetGalley books in 1 week, I'd be overwhelmed.

Here's my post, and I also have a giveaway right now.

    Have a good week!

Three children and you still have time for all of this. You are superwoman! Hope your sick one feels better soon. That's a nasty illness and takes time to get their strength back. Hope you got the reading done for today:)

  19. Lol! I know! If I just had more narrow taste, but I read such a wide variety of books and I have trouble resisting. You couldn't tell, I know. ;) Thanks for the well wishes. He is finally going back to school tomorrow but still on breathing treatments. I'm just glad he's breathing better.

  24. I think I don't realize sometimes what I'm signing up for. Lol! And I get so excited about things sometimes. It comes down to the fact that I do this for enjoyment, you know? Otherwise, no way. Hope you found a book for Children's Book Week!

  25. Well, it's been a little hectic lately. May is crazy and I don't know what I was thinking!!! Normally three books a week is good, but I've really been pushing it lately. And I still feel like I don't get all the reading in I want to. :)
