Welcome to my Weekly Update where I post my blog's schedule for the week. I'm linking up to The Sunday Post, hosted by Kimba @ The Caffeinated Book Reviewer, as well as linking to Tynga's Reviews and Talk Supe for showcasing the books I added to my shelves or eReader this week.
We had some brief rain tonight and it was lovely. My two youngest ran out to watch it and it was super cute. My oldest is sick with borderline pneumonia. It seem our family is having some health issues this past month. He's already missed a whole week of school, so hopefully he'll be better soon.
I've been swamped between blogging and trying to read and family and starting new things (you can see more about that below). I have books that have to be read by Monday, so wish me luck. :)
Here's what to expect this week:
I'll be a tour stop for Love, Lucas by Amy Chantele Sedgwick. I've been looking forward to this one for a while. :)
I'll be reviewing Summer Fit for Second to Third Grade. We're getting ready for summer and having the kiddos out of school.
I added a few ebooks this week. Lol! Covers will take you to Goodreads or Amazon:
There's a few giveaways going on right now (each cover will take you to its giveaway):
FROM EDELWEISS & NETGALLEY & FOR REVIEW
PURCHASED OR FREE FROM AMAZON
WON
I'm hosting two new events. One begins Monday in honor of Children's Book Week. If you would like to join in hosting a giveaway go ahead and sign up - clicking on the button will take you to the sign-up post for all the info.
I'm also co-hosting a read-along for Silver in the Blood by Jessica Day George (who I LOVE) in July with Dena from Batch of Books. We held a read-along last fall for the Finishing School Series by Gail Carriger and had a blast! This is another book we decided we'd like to read together. The book releases on July 7th. Jessica will be stopping by as well so we can ask her some questions. This is the first time I've announced this so I've actually included the linky here for anyone who is interested in joining. We wanted this up in plenty of time for everyone to join and get their books and all. We'll basically be reading a chapter or about 26 pages a day. We'd love to have you! You don't have to have a blog to participate either. Readers are definitely welcome!!
Then I'm participating in a couple of things. You can find out more by clicking on their buttons:

I like the cover of Wedding to Die For. I hope you didn't get all of those NetGalley books in 1 week, I'd be overwhelmed.

Holy Edelweiss and NetGalley Tressa. I rarely go to either..cause yikes! I hope you enjoy them all. Pneumonia is nasty. I have had it more than once. I will hope for as quick recovery for the little one. Enjoy your week!

Hope your oldest gets better soon! You're up to so much sometimes it makes my head spin. I just saw someone else talking about Children's Book Week, will hopefully find something to read for it. :)
ReplyDeleteI am always blown away by your weekly updates :). I am happy if I get more than one book read a week. I wish life would quit getting in the way and just let me read :)
ReplyDeleteI think Persuasion looks excellent! I might have to request it!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a fantastic week :) Happy Reading!
Here's my Weekly Wrap Up
Michelle @ Book Briefs
Thanks, Grace! My book haul's have been bad lately - as in I've been requesting/getting too many. :) Hope your week is going well!
ReplyDeleteI keep meaning to cut back! I seriously need to like books less. Lol! Thanks, Deborah!
ReplyDeleteWoo-hoo! You have another great bookish week. Wishing you and your family speedy recoveries, Tressa. :)
ReplyDeleteHey Lola! I'm in the same boat with you for Blog Ahead. This week I have got to get some posts scheduled! We have family coming in town in June, so I'd really love to get ahead there. Hope you're having a fantastic week!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Megan. You too!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Elizabeth. I'll lie and say that they weren't from one week. :/ This week looks to be bad too, but then I think they'll taper off a little.
ReplyDeleteLol! I know! If I just had more narrow taste, but I read such a wide variety of books and I have trouble resisting. You couldn't tell, I know. ;) Thanks for the well wishes. He is finally going back to school tomorrow but still on breathing treatments. I'm just glad he's breathing better.
ReplyDeleteI grabbed Tinker and then read some reviews and decided maybe I shouldn't have, but Of Metals and Wishes I have been meaning to read for forever! I'm hoping to get to it before the second book is out. Thanks, Braine!
ReplyDeleteWe've kind of had some rough weeks lately, but I'm hoping things are looking up from here on out. I did get quite a few books. ;) Thanks, Stormi!
ReplyDeleteI think the cover for Hotel Ruby is very cool. Kind of vintage looking and just looks suspenseful as well. I hope we both really like it!
ReplyDeleteI actually have four, if you can believe it?!! ;) He's been really weak, but at least he's finally breathing better. Thank goodness! I did get my reading done. Yay! Have lots more to do. :) Thanks, Laura!
ReplyDeleteI think I don't realize sometimes what I'm signing up for. Lol! And I get so excited about things sometimes. It comes down to the fact that I do this for enjoyment, you know? Otherwise, no way. Hope you found a book for Children's Book Week!
ReplyDeleteWell, it's been a little hectic lately. May is crazy and I don't know what I was thinking!!! Normally three books a week is good, but I've really been pushing it lately. And I still feel like I don't get all the reading in I want to. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping it'll be really good. I hope your week is going well! Thanks, Michelle!
ReplyDeleteHey Rissi! I know. Do you think I grabbed enough books??? ;) Thank you for the well wishes!
