My Review

My kids and I were excited to open up Bible Bands and try out the designs. Rubber-band jewelry and looms and such are so popular right now in grade schools. All of my kids are at the age where they enjoy these and love being creative with what they can make.

There are some designs that require two looms and specific colors/charms. It would be nice if the book had a supplement package that included everything you would need to make all of the designs. It wouldn't have to come with the book, but it would be nice to be able to get. They do sell a separate charms packet here.

We tried several of the designs. Here are two of them:

The kids and I had a great time! We don't have any other design books except for the little inserts that come with the bands or the looms. The kids also loved the charms that you can get separately. The designs were all fairly easy, although there were some that were more difficult too, so there was a good range of skill level.

Overall this was a fun book! It is faith-based as the title suggests, but most of the designs could be used by anyone regardless of religious background.

  2. Thanks again so much for hosting this! I hope to participate much more next year, but at least I did get a lot of reading done. I think I read 7 books during.

I thought for a few days about what books I'd pick for the color challenge, but I kept falling asleep too early! So I'd love to see that challenge come back next year.
