Here's my WOW pick this week:
Atlantia
by Ally Condie
YA Dystopian
October 28th 2014 by Dutton Children's
Summary
Can you hear Atlantia breathing?
For as long as she can remember, Rio has dreamt of the sand and sky Above—of life beyond her underwater city of Atlantia. But in a single moment, all her plans for the future are thwarted when her twin sister, Bay, makes an unexpected decision, stranding Rio Below. Alone, ripped away from the last person who knew Rio’s true self—and the powerful siren voice she has long hidden—she has nothing left to lose.
Guided by a dangerous and unlikely mentor, Rio formulates a plan that leads to increasingly treacherous questions about her mother’s death, her own destiny, and the complex system constructed to govern the divide between land and sea. Her life and her city depend on Rio to listen to the voices of the past and to speak long-hidden truths.

Pre-order from:
I really loved Ally's Matched series and I've been looking forward to this one for some time. I got to hear her read some of this out loud when she stopped by a local bookstore a few months ago. I'm hoping I'll love it!
What do you think? Is this one on your can't-wait-to-read list?
I've already seen this one today. I don't know if it's something I want to read, but I hope you enjoy it!My WoW
ReplyDeleteI moved off Dystopia based books for a while but maybe this one could take me back to the brilliant genre! I love how it is not centred too much into the love type of relationships but about her past and how she looks back into it. Can't wait for this one!
ReplyDeleteMy WoW
This one is popular today. I love mermaid or underwater books. These sound really good.
ReplyDeleteGrace @ Books of Love
I have been seeing it around. Hopefully it will be really good. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope I do too! I liked your pick. :)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed what I heard of the first chapter. I'll come check out yours...
ReplyDeleteI do like too that it isn't all about the romance. I'll come see what your pick is.
ReplyDeleteWhat's funny is I know this lady in real life! She's a fantastic lady! I went to high school with her oldest son, and her husband was my science teacher! :)
ReplyDeleteI think I'll actually like Atlantia so much better than Matched (it was okay, but not my favorite).
ReplyDeleteThis is a spectacular cover and the series sounds exciting. I'll be adding this to my wish list.
ReplyDeleteI hope so too! :)
ReplyDeleteI really liked Matched, but I think Atlantia will be different. I hope we both love it!
ReplyDeleteI hope you really like it when you get your hands on a copy, Laura!
ReplyDeleteYESSSS, I am SOOOO excited for this one too! I'm just glad it releases soon and we won't have to wait that long! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my WoW @Addicted Readers! :)
I think I would choose Insurgent by Veronica Roth! :)
ReplyDeleteThe Dom with the Perfect Brats by Sorcha Black, Leia Shaw, and Cari Silverwood
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win any Jane Austen sequel
ReplyDeleteI really want to get my hands on this one! I can't wait to read it :)
ReplyDeleteA Storm of Swords Part 2.
ReplyDeleteI.d love to win cress by marissa meyer :)
ReplyDeleteI have heard good things about this series. I just need to find the time to read it. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, yes! Eager to get my hands on this one and am glad its release isn't too far off. :)
ReplyDeleteI'd pick The Wood Queen.
ReplyDeleteI have a lot of trouble answering these questions, but maybe Exile by Shannon Messenger, or Cress by Marissa Meyer.
ReplyDeletePossibly. I didn't read her first series, though, so I may hold off for a while.
ReplyDeleteI'd probably choose either Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead, Between the Spark and Burn, or The Far Dawn, so many series I want to finish and I'm sooo close lol. Thanks so much Tressa :)
ReplyDeleteI would probably choose Magical Melons by Carol Ryrie Brink. It's an older book, but I loved it when I was younger.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Ruin and Rising or Scarlet By marissa meyer!!:)
ReplyDeleteGreat choice!
ReplyDeleteSame here. It's only a month and a half away.
ReplyDeleteGlad I'm not alone in wanting to read this one!
ReplyDeleteMe too, Rissi! It should be good. :)
ReplyDeleteI know this one is very different from her other series. I'm looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ellen!
ReplyDeleteI did love the Matched series so I'm sure I'll end up reading this one, even though I'm not a big Atlantia/mermaid fan. I hope it's good! ~Pam
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous cover! Hope you enjoy the book when you get it. Thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteOh, I didn't know Ally Condie had a new book coming out soon! I really like this cover, will have to keep my eyes out for this! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI noticed you've made a popular choice this week. I hope this book exceeds your expectations! That's cool that you got to hear the author read from her book.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Jane Reads!
Well, no mermaids at least. :) It's more of a dystopian. They left the surface because it was polluted and those up top work to keep those under the water alive with clean air and such. It also focuses on two sisters. Should be interesting.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping back over!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping I'll love it. Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteIt was fun to hear her read the beginning of it. She was really great in person and it's always fun to see the person behind the books.
