Weekly Update #80

Welcome to my Weekly Update where I post my blog's schedule for the week. I'm linking up to The Sunday Post, hosted by Kimba @ The Caffeinated Book Reviewer, and Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga's Reviews.

We're half-way through the Tackle Your TBR Read-a-thon and it's been great so far. I've been getting so much reading in! You can still join through the 17th.
Sign up for the Tackle Your TBR Read-a-thon!!!

It's a really busy tour week for me. I was a little crazy I think when I scheduled all this. ;) Here's what to expect:

I'll be participating in the tour for Leaving Liberty by Virginia Carmichael. This was a really sweet read. There is also the tour launch for The Better Man by Amy Vastine.

I'll be a tour stop for The Strength of Ballerinas by Nancy Lorenz. Look for a review and giveaway.

I'll be post for Waiting on Wednesday, so come check out what I can't wait to get my hands on.

I'll be reviewing Sleeping Beauty and the Beast by Melissa Lemon . This was an interesting take on those classic fairy tales. There will also be a giveaway.

Friday Favorites will be up again. I don't know what I'll be picking yet. Did you see last week's where I reviewed Evergreen by Susan May Warren? I'll also be a tour stop for Salt & Storm by Kendall Kulper.
Salt & Storm

I'll be a tour stop for For Elise by Sarah M. Eden, who is one of my favorite historical romance authors.

I'll be a tour stop for Remember Me by Romily Bernard. I really liked the first book in this series, so I'm looking forward to this one! It's also the end of the Tackle Your TBR Read-a-thon, (it really ends Saturday, but the wrap-up post won't go up until Sunday and will be updated with giveaway winners later that day).
Remember Me (Find Me, #2)

I've been trying to limit how many books I add to my tbr this week since the goal of the read-a-thon is to lower that amount. Here's what I got:
Illusions of Fate by Kiersten White - Amazon
Someone Like You by Karen Rock - Amazon
This Is Your Afterlife Hawk (Quiet Professionals #2) Broken (Avena, #2)
      Goodreads            Goodreads/Amazon     Goodreads/Amazon

There are quite a few giveaways this month, especially for those participating in the Tackle Your TBR Read-a-thon. I'm hosting three giveaways just for that. You can check the first two out on the Kick Off and the other one HERE.

There is the usual Monthly Giveaway for September for a copy of Meant to Be Mine by Becky Wade (US only), which is one of my favorite books from this year. There is also time left to enter the Pyrokinesis Prize Pack for The Darkest Minds (US only) and Gluten-Free Made Easy.
Gluten-Free Made Easy - Paperback

Did you miss any of these posts from last week?

I'm continuing to hope to get in a few more wedding or romance-themed books (I've read two so far) for this readalong and giveaway that you guys should all check out, if you haven't already:
Katie's Wedding Countdown

These I'll be reading as they come up for review in the coming weeks:
Star of Deliverance Rewind To You Tried and True (Wild at Heart, #1) Remember Me (Find Me, #2)

I'm still planning on reading these soon:
Winterkill A Bridge Unbroken (Miller's Creek , #5) Among the Joyful
Lizzy and Jane Dreams of Gods & Monsters (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #3)

I have some reviews I need to post too, but I don't know if I'll get to them yet. :) What do you have going on this week?

Busy, busy blog. I'm impressed I cannot imagine how you find the time for all the posts and reading. :)

  2. Looks like you've got a really busy week! I just finished Illusions of Fate today. I enjoyed it more than I was expecting to and I hope you do too! I also read Rewind to You recently. The beginning was pretty rough for me, but it got better the further I read. I'm listening to Dreams of Gods and Monsters right now, but I'm only about halfway through. I wish I was reading it versus listening to the audiobook. Hope you have a great week!

  6. Oh, it's called being very organized and somewhat crazy. Lol! ;) This is a crazy week. Probably one of the busiest I've ever had. Thank goodness I've finished all of these books already except one and there is such a thing as scheduling posts ahead. :)

  7. I loved Illusions of Fate! Dreams of Gods and Monsters would be kind of slow on audiobook. It's a long book. Thanks! I'll come see what your week looks like.

  8. It's a very busy week, but I'm still keeping up just fine, so that's good. Lots of good time management and organization. :) You've got this week ahead of you, so lots of opportunities for reading. Hope you have a great week too!

  10. I know. I'm totally insane! I had promised myself to not sign up for more than three tour posts a week, but I didn't hold to that this week. Not even close! It's a good thing I'm ahead. :)

My scheduling usually runs about a day ahead. But when I was showcasing guests on the blog and running author events and giveaways that was a different matter. I just don't have the time at the moment.

  14. Yay for 'Illusions of Fate' (looks great), 'Hawk' (cannot wait) and 'Lizzy & Jane.' Hope you enjoy them all, Tressa!

  15. Yes, Dreams of Gods and Monsters has been a slow audiobook for me. Mostly because I'm afraid to go too fast and miss something. There's just so much happening in the series overall.

  16. I think a lot of bloggers have been cutting down because they got too busy. I'm actually planning on having much fewer tour posts, but we'll see. :)

  17. Thanks, Rebecca! That is so nice of you! :)

I'll come check out your stack and follow you back.
